Texas Reading First Initiative Campus Timeline

Bolded dates are deadlines by which information and/or data must be submitted to TIMES, or dates when TIMES will be on campuses collecting data.

April 2009 to June 2009

Begin on April 6,
complete by May 15
Classroom observations/ implementation interview (randomly selected campuses)
Parent home surveys (randomly selected campuses)
April 20-May 1 End of the year (EOY) screening/diagnostic, grades K-3 (all Reading First [RF] campuses)
April 20-May 15 Outcome assessments, grades 1-2 (ITBS/Logramos or SAT10/Aprenda)
Online system
opens May 5 (8 a.m.),
closes May 30 (5 p.m.)
Spring surveys (all RF campuses):
Teachers, local campus coaches (LCCs), principals, reading technical assistance specialists (RTAs), and PMs: Implementation survey
Professional development hours, special education counts, tier tallies (all RF campuses—completed by LCC)
May 15 End of the year (EOY) data for grades K-3 due to the Texas Institute for Measurement, Evaluation, and Statistics (TIMES).
This is the vendor deadline for submitting data to TIMES. Vendors may have different submission deadlines with schools/districts in order to meet this deadline. All paper administration campuses must have data entered into the online system by this date (all RF campuses).
June 26 Outcome data for grades 1 and 2 due to TIMES.
