Online Academy
What is the Online Academy?
The Online Academy is an electronic version of the Teacher Reading Academy, a four-day professional development course for teachers in the primary grades. The Online Academy features a videotaped "instructor," classroom videos that demonstrate the practical application of Academy concepts with real teachers and real students in a real classroom, and extensive research materials.
Browsing the Academy
The version of the Online Academy that is accessible through the Community provides a limited overview of topics treated in depth on the CD. The Community version, however, makes a handy reference to the research that serves as a basis for the discussions in the Communities of Practice.
